2. Overview
This site is built to be deliberately low-data. It uses no trackers, no analytics, no ads, and no cookies that aren't strictly necessary.
3. Server logs
The hosting provider stores access logs (IP address, timestamp, user agent), which are deleted after seven days. The logs are used for abuse prevention and debugging.
4. Contact by email
If you email me, your message and email address are stored to allow me to reply. I do not share this data.
5. Your rights
You have, at any time, the right of access, rectification, erasure, and restriction of processing of your data. A short mail to [email protected] is enough.
6. Hosting
Hosted with Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. A data processing agreement is in place.
7. Walk-the-World app
The Android app Walk the World has its own, app-specific privacy policy – it lives at /en/walk-the-world/privacy and describes the data processing inside the app (OpenFreeMap, Supabase, local GPS storage, cloud backup, account deletion).
